A man has pleaded not guilty to murder after a man died in a garden.

Essex Police were called to Orchard Close in Thaxted on 18 March at 00:35 GMT, following reports of an assault.

Richard Langley, 52, from Thaxted, later died at the scene.

Kevin Horswill, 51, of Magdalen Green in the town, has appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court.

He is due to appear again at Chelmsford Crown Court on 9 September.
