Hoodie sales 'crazy' after Clarkson's Farm photo

The owner of a clothing brand has described how its charity hoodies have started to sell out after a celebrity endorsement from a star of Clarkson's Farm.

Whale of a Time Clothing, based in West Acre near Swaffham, Norfolk, launched its top to raise money for The Yellow Wellies Campaign and was pleased to see it worn by Harriet Cowan on a social media post.

Run by the Farm Safety Foundation, the campaign aims to improve physical safety and support mental health for young farmers.

Ellie Wales, Whale of a Time owner, said: "As a huge supporter and a farmer herself, she promoted it for us and it went crazy."

Ms Wales annually uses her brand to raise money for different causes, with 100% of profits from the product going to charity during October.

She decided to raise money for The Yellow Wellies Campaign as its message is important to her team.

"We want to raise enough money for the Farm Safety Foundation to help support young farmers with safety training and their mental health at the moment," she said.

"We like to give back to a charity that means something to us. Being a country brand, The Farm Safety Foundation is very close to our hearts."

Cowan shared a photo of her wearing one of the charity hoodies on her Instagram account.

The 24-year-old from Derbyshire starred in series four of Amazon Prime's Clarkson's Farm, as a temporary farmhand for Jeremy Clarkson.

"It was a huge help to spread the news far and wide," Ms Wales said.

After the photo was shared to Cowan's 580,000 followers, Ms Wales said they had sold out of a few sizes.

"We're just trying to raise as much money for the charity as we possibly can."
