Dangerous driving arrest after boy hit by car

A woman has been arrested after a boy was struck by a car in Stoke-on-Trent.
The crash happened on Dividy Road at the junction with Broughton Road at about 16:00 BST on Wednesday.
The child was treated at the scene for potentially serious injuries before being taken to hospital, said the ambulance service.
The arrested 35-year-old, from Crewe, was detained on suspicion of causing serious injury through dangerous driving.
The crash involved a Smart fortwo car, and officers are appealing for anyone with relevant footage to get in touch.
The suspect has been released under investigation.
