A man has been charged with attempted murder after an 18-year-old man was shot getting out of a taxi and left with serious injuries.

The victim, who was shot in Oldham at about 12:00 GMT on 16 January, is in a stable condition in hospital, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said.

Ethan Glasgow-Lattibeaudiere, 23, has also been charged with assault and possessing a firearm with intent to endanger to life

The force said a gun found by detectives after the incident is being analysed by specialists.

GMP previously said officers believed the shooter was riding an electric bike and it was a "targeted attack" on Shaw Street.

Seven people who were previously arrested on suspicion of attempted murder have been bailed while the investigation continues.

They include three "juveniles, alongside an 18-year-old man, a 19-year-old man, a man in his 20s and a man in his 40s," a GMP spokesperson said.

Mr Glasgow-Lattibeaudiere, of no fixed abode, was due to appear before magistrates earlier charged with two counts of attempted murder.
