A town's tenpin bowling alley is due to close after 35 years.

The 28-lane Hollywood Bowl at The Point on Skimped Hill Lane in Bracknell, Berkshire, said the closure followed a notice served by its landlords who were planning to redevelop the site.

The bowling alley said it had seen 5.3 million visitors through the doors since it opened in 1990 "from birthday strikes to team nights and league matches – thank you for making us part of your story".

It will shut after the final games on Monday and follows the closure of the ODEON cinema in the same complex at the end of May.
