Snow Patrol to headline On The Waterfront festival

Snow Patrol have been announced as one of the headline acts for next year's On The Waterfront festival in Liverpool.

The four-day event will return to the city's Pier Head for the fifth time and see thousands of music fans attend shows from Thursday 18 to Sunday 21 June.

Snow Patrol, described by the festival's organisers as one of the most "successful and beloved alternative rock bands of the last three decades", will headline the final night.

It will be the first time that the alternative rock band will have performed in Liverpool in more than a decade.

Since their 1998 debut album Songs for Polarbears, Snow Patrol have created anthems including 2006 hit Chasing Cars, which was named the most-played song of the 21st Century, external by music rights licensing organisation PPL.

Their latest and eighth studio album, The Forest Is the Path, went straight to number one in the UK, external last year.

Joining Snow Patrol that night will Liverpudlian indie-rockers Circa Waves and English-American dream pop trio Sunday (1994).

When is it?

Snow Patrol will top the bill on Sunday 21 June 2026 between 17:00 - 23:00 BST, with final entry at 19:30 BST.

Where is it?

The festival takes place at Liverpool's Pier Head, in front of the city's famous Three Graces - the Royal Liver Building, The Cunard Building and the Port of Liverpool Building.

The site is a short walk from Liverpool One Bus Station. Merseyrail's Liverpool Central, James Street and Moorfields stations are all nearby.

How do I get tickets?

You can sign up now for presale access.

Those tickets will go on sale from 09:00 BST on Thursday.

General sale starts at 09:00 BST on Friday.

Tickets start at £58.50 plus booking fee

Entry to the festival will be restricted to people aged 14 and above. Under-18s must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

The festival is a standing event.
