A 26-week road closure will take place while improvements are made to a town centre.

The work will begin on the eastern footpath of the High Street in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, on 15 April.

Workers will begin upgrading the paving, planting trees, installing cycle racks and benches and improving the drainage.

High Street will be closed to eastbound traffic from Monday to Friday but will be open in both directions at the weekends.

Access for pedestrians, taxis and delivery vehicles will be maintained throughout the work to minimise disruption, according to Worcestershire County Council.
