Slippers and cereals in suspected stolen hoard
- Published
Police have pulled over a stolen car filled with suspected stolen goods including breakfast cereals, slippers and a thank you card.
Pictures shared by the force on social media also showed the hoard included bottles of sparkling wine, a fan and a bunch of flowers.
There were also pieces of fruit, yoghurt and chocolate biscuits, as well as a clock and a pot of paint.
Surrey Police said the car turned out to be stolen and had been fitted with false plates.
Officers said a vehicle caught their attention when out patrolling in the Caterham area on Thursday.
When officers stopped the vehicle and looked inside they found "a whole hoard of goodies in the back suspected to be stolen".
The force said three people were under investigation for the offences and officers were trying to work out where the goods were stolen from.
