A man is being held on suspicion of terror-related offences after a stabbing at a Worcestershire hotel.

Police were called to The Pear Tree Inn & Country Hotel on Smite Lane in Hindlip, near Worcester, at about 13:30 BST on Tuesday.

A 25-year-old man was attacked at the hotel and was in a stable condition in hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening.

A 31-year-old man, who has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, is being held under section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000, meaning he can be detained by police for up to 14 days.
