A man has been arrested after cocaine worth an estimated £1.1m was found in a van.

Officers discovered the drug after stopping and searching a vehicle at Keele Services on the M6 just before 13:00 GMT on Monday, Staffordshire Police said.

A 35-year-old from Cheshire has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.

He remains in custody as the investigation continues, added the force.
