A primary school has partly closed due to an outbreak of gastroenteritis and scarlet fever.

Great Malvern Primary School, on Lydes Road in Malvern, is closed for four year groups from Tuesday until Thursday, Worcestershire County Council said.

The closure affects the four youngest year groups – Reception and Years 1, 2, and 3.

The council said the outbreak had affected “both children and high numbers of staff”.
