The RSPCA is appealing for information after a six-month-old kitten returned home with mysterious injuries to her ear, abdomen, tail and bottom.
Ivy came "limping" home to Lynch Hill Lane in Slough on Sunday with the tip of her right ear missing and the fur on her side shaved.
Owner Muhammed Husayn said he wanted to "warn other cat owners in the area to be wary".
RSPCA chief inspector Rob Hartley described the injuries as "concerning".

The injuries included a patch of shaved fur on her side and under her tail
The vet who examined Ivy confirmed she had a clean, straight cut to the right ear.
She also had a patch of shaved fur on her side as well as under her tail, whilst her abdomen, tail and bottom appeared to be bruised, "causing her a lot of pain".
Mr Husayn explained his kitten has been unable to move her tail since the incident.
"...she is on pain relief and getting plenty of rest and positively, in the last couple of days, has been acting more like herself," he said.
"It has come as such a shock to us as it’s not something we expected to happen especially around here so we're keen to warn other cat owners in the area to be wary.”
The RSPCA is urging anyone in the area who saw or heard anything suspicious during the afternoon or early evening of Sunday to get in touch.
