Animal charity launched to help pet owners

A woman has founded a charity and website to help pet owners care for their animals.
Stephanie Stefani has launched Paws Protection Project because she "wanted to do more for animal welfare in Guernsey".
She said the aim was "to provide comprehensive information on animal welfare for lots of different animals that was free, easily accessible and easy to understand".
Ms Stefani said her charity differed from the GSPCA and she was not competing.
She said she has always been "surrounded by lots of different animals from cats, horses, guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, stick insects [and] fish.
She currently owns three dogs and two cats and said family and friends often asked her for tips and tricks on how to train their animals.
Ms Stefani said the charity also provided a rehoming service.
She added the "the GSPCA do a great job of rescue and rehabilitation of a variety of animals, especially wildlife, and it is therefore important to note that we are not here to rival the GSPCA in anyway."
