A woman has appeared in court charged with firearms offences after guns and ammunition were discovered in a police raid in Coventry.

Officers said a revolver, a pistol, two sawn-off shotguns and ammunition were found when they searched a property on Uxbridge Avenue on 25 April.

Katie Baxendale, 32, was charged with five offences relating to the possession of the guns and ammunition, West Midlands Police said.

Baxendale entered no plea at Warwick Crown Court on Thursday and was remanded in custody, ahead of her next appearance on 13 June.
