Three seriously injured after car crashes into house

Officers are seeking witnesses to the crash or the moments leading up to it

One person is believed to be fighting for their life after a car crashed into a house.
Two others were seriously injured in the incident at Long Load Road in Stapleton, near Martock, in the early hours on Sunday, Avon and Somerset Police said.
No one in the house was harmed but officers said one of the occupants of the black Audi A4 is in hospital with suspected life-threatening injuries.
The other two occupants have also been taken to hospital after sustaining what are believed to be life-changing injuries.
Officers are seeking witnesses to the crash or the moments leading up to it, and have appealed for any relevant dashcam, mobile or doorbell footage.
Enquiries are ongoing and the road remains closed in both directions while a full investigation is carried out.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said the house had been structurally damaged and crews had to use props to stabilise it.
Firefighters also used hydraulic cutting equipment to free one person trapped inside the vehicle.
