A man has been arrested in Spain over an incident in which one man was stabbed and two others were injured.
The 27-year-old suspect, who has not been named, was detained in Marbella on Thursday, said Merseyside Police.
He was held over an incident in Liverpool city centre, on 27 December 2023, which was described by police at the time as a "large disturbance".
In January, four men arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and violent disorder over the same incident were extradited from France.
'Violent disorder'
Police said two groups of men clashed near the Safehouse nightclub in the Whitechapel area of the city.
A 21-year-old man was left in a critical condition in hospital, while the others suffered cuts and bruises.
Merseyside Police did not reveal the grounds of arrest for the man in Spain.
But the force did say he was detained "in connection with violent disorder and assault".
