Driver in his 70s dies after collision with lorry

The car driver was treated at the scene but died on his way to hospital, police said

A driver has died after a crash involving a car and a lorry on an A-road.

Norfolk Police said a black Suzuki Alto and a white DAF truck collided on the A1067 Fakenham Road at Attlebridge at 14:44 GMT on Sunday.

The car was travelling from the direction of Norwich towards Fakenham and the lorry was heading in the opposite direction.

Police said the driver of the Suzuki, a man in his 70s, was treated at the scene by paramedics but died in an ambulance en route to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

The road was closed until 02:05 on Monday.

Police have appealed for any witnesses, including drivers with dashcam footage, to contact them.
