Man in court over rush hour train station stabbing

A man injured in the incident has since been discharged from hospital

A man accused of a knife attack at a railway station in West Sussex has appeared in court.
Jason McDonagh, of no fixed address, has been charged by the British Transport Police with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a bladed article in a public place after the incident in Bognor Regis.
The 21-year-old was remanded in custody at a hearing at Crawley Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
A man in his 20s was taken to hospital after a stabbing at the railway station at about 08:30 GMT on Tuesday but has since been discharged, police said.
The victim's injuries were initially thought to be life-changing but are no longer being treated as such, according to police.
