Yellow weather warning issued for ice and snow

A yellow weather warning for snow and ice has been issued for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
The Met Office said wintry showers and icy patches could hit the county between 12:00 GMT on Thursday and 10:00 GMT on Friday.
It has warned passengers to check roads and railways for possible disruption before they travel.
Areas likely to be affected include Thorney, Eye, Stibbington and the northern end of Cambridgeshire.
The Met Office said icy patches were expected to form on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths during Thursday evening and overnight into Friday morning as temperatures dropped below freezing, especially following any showers.
Its advice is to leave the house "at least five minutes earlier than normal" to avoid the need to rush and to use pavements along main roads that are likely to be less slippery.
Cyclists have been advised to stick to main roads that are more likely to have been treated.
Cambridge Fire and Rescue Service has also issued advice during the cold spell.
"Make sure to clear your windscreen fully, drive to the conditions of the road, check your lights are working on your vehicle and make sure your tyres are in good condition," it said.
