Thieves steal £20k of copper from industrial unit

About £20,000 worth of copper has been stolen from a building on an industrial estate, causing thousands of pounds of damage, police have said.

The burglary happened at business unit on the Belliver Industrial Estate in Roborough, near Plymouth, Devon, overnight between Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 July, said officers.

Thieves broke into the building and cut the copper from cables, causing estimated total damages and losses to the business of more than £200,000, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

Police appealed for any witnesses or people with relevant information or footage to contact them.
