Five men arrested after 'targeted' shooting attack

Police believe the shooting at a house in Salford was a targeted attack
- Published
Five men have been arrested following a shooting at a house in Salford, police have said.
While Greater Manchester Police officers were called to Lissadel Street on Tuesday morning, the force said the incident had taken place between 20:45 and 21:00 BST on Monday.
No-one was injured in what detectives believe was a "targeted attack".
Five men, aged between 20 and 39, were arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm and remain in custody for questioning.
Det Ch Insp Martyn Johnson said: "We know how concerning incidents like this can be for those who live and work in the area.
"While it's fortunate that no-one was injured, the use of firearms on our streets is completely unacceptable."
Anyone with information or footage that could help police with their investigation has been urged to contact the force.
