A man who stabbed his partner after she caught him in bed with another man has been found guilty of attempted murder.
Ryan Leggett, 35, of Lowestoft Road, Carlton Colville, Suffolk was convicted by a jury at Ipswich Crown Court following a seven-day trial.
Suffolk Police said he had stabbed his partner multiple times on 23 November 2024, leaving her with eight stab wounds.
Leggett will be sentenced on 31 October.
The police force said the victim, a woman in her 30s, returned home from work earlier than expected to find Leggett in their bed naked with another man.
The couple argued in the kitchen, where Leggett was said to have held a knife to the victim's neck.
She then went upstairs, grabbing her phone on the way, and entered a bedroom where she messaged a friend to tell her what had happened, the force said.
Leggett was then said to have entered the bedroom carrying a knife in each hand and while the victim was lying on the bed he attacked her, stabbing her numerous times.
'Violent and frenzied attack'
Det Con Sophie Moore said: "This was a violent and frenzied attack which could have easily resulted in the victim being killed.
"Ryan Leggett had no motive for this other than rage at being caught in bed with another person.
"The level of violence and aggression he displayed to someone he was in a relationship with is truly shocking."
