A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a man who police believe was the victim of a "targeted" attack at a home in Greater Manchester.

The man, aged in his 50s, was found unresponsive at the address on Edington in Lower Falinge, Rochdale, at about 22:50 BST on Monday, police said.

Emergency services attended but he was later pronounced dead.

A 48-year-old woman was being questioned by Greater Manchester Police officers.

Det Supt Phil Key said detectives were "working to determine the circumstances".

“From our enquiries so far, we believe this to have been a targeted attack and a dedicated team of officers are working to trace those responsible," he added.

A cordon was put in place around the area.

Police have called for anyone who was in the area at the time who saw or heard anything suspicious to contact them.
