The man was assaulted in the car park of the Blackpole Inn on Blackpole Road in Worcester between midnight and 01:00 BST, police said.

A 20-year-old man and another man, 23, have been held on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm.

Det Insp Mark Walters said there was a charity event at the venue and called for witnesses to come forward.
