Car transporter driver dies in M1 crash

The driver of a car transporter has died after crashing into a central reservation on the M1, police said.
The incident happened northbound between junction 15 for Northampton and junction 14 for Milton Keynes, at about 14:10 GMT on Wednesday.
Northamptonshire Police said a BMW car on the transporter had come loose and hit a bridge, No other vehicles were involved.
The southbound side partially reopened at about 18:55 and was fully operational at about 20:20, while the northbound stretch reopened at about 22:00, the force added.

The driver, a man in his 40s, died at the scene, police said.
