Arrest after two pedestrians injured in crash

An 80-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and without due care following a serious crash involving two pedestrians, police have said.
Emergency services were called to a crash involving a Seat Mii car and two pedestrians on the A385 at Shinners Bridge at about 10:30 BST on Sunday.
A man and a woman were taken to Torbay District Hospital and both continue to receive treatment.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the driver had since been released under investigation pending further inquiries.
Officers have asked anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward and aid their investigation.
