A large suspected sinkhole has appeared in a residential road prompting a water company to cordon it off.

The hole appeared on Tuesday on the corner of Stanley Street and Walton Road in Lowestoft, Suffolk.

Police were called at about 16:16 BST to manage traffic and cone off the hole before Anglian Water took over.

A spokesperson for the water company said its teams were on site investigating the issue.
