A Manchester United footballer will stand trial for dangerous driving after denying charges brought against him.

Brandon Williams, 23, Harphurhey, Manchester, appeared at Chester Crown Court on Friday charged with dangerous driving and driving without insurance.

The charges related to a collision between a grey Audi and a Ford Fiesta on the A34, Wilmslow on 20 August 2023, Cheshire Police confirmed.

Williams entered not guilty pleas in court and the case will go to trial on 17 March 2025.

He was released on conditional bail until the three-day trial next year.

Williams is currently with Ipswich Town after signing from Manchester United on a season-long loan.

The full-back made 51 first-team appearances for Manchester United.
