School's missing scarecrow found torn in two

A missing school scarecrow has been found decapitated, while a second has been torn apart.
Ben the scarecrow was made by children at Anlaby Primary School, but went missing last weekend after being placed outside for the West Hull Villages Scarecrow Hunt.
It was discovered nearby on Wednesday, a day before another scarecrow, called Sally, was found in pieces outside the school.
The hard-working pupils have now put them back together in time for the hunt this weekend.
Kody, an eight-year-old pupil, said: "We put a lot of effort into them and then someone just ruined them."
The scarecrows were placed outside the school on Friday, but Ben was seen being carried away towards Hessle on Sunday evening.
Heidi Johnson, the school cook, found Ben's head on top of a fence.
“I couldn’t leave him there so I had to bring him back to school full of woodlice,” she said.
The body was also returned after being found nearby in First Lane, to the "relief" of the children and staff.
Teacher Lisa Hall said: "The children have worked hard again, giving up more of their time to put them back together.
"They're reunited and going back outside."
The scarecrow hunt includes locations in Anlaby, Willerby, Kirk Ella and west Hull. Organisers are also staging a craft fair, external outside Anlaby Park Community Library on Saturday, from 10:00 BST to 14:00.
