Injured paraglider rescued from Perthshire mountain

Police and Coastguard rescue teams have come to the aid of an injured paraglider who was involved in an accident at Beinn Ghlas in Perthshire.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 11:50 on Saturday we received a report of a injured paraglider on a path at Beinn Ghlas.

"Emergencies services attended and the 24-year-old man was taken to hospital in Glasgow."

The mountain lies on the north shore of Loch Tay and is part of the Ben Lawers Range. It is a Munro with a height of 1,103 metres (3,619 ft).
