Two injured by trap pulled by horse on north coast beach

A man was left with serious injuries after he and a woman were hit by a trap being pulled by a horse on Benone Strand, in County Londonderry, on Sunday.
Police received a report at about 10:45 BST and the man and woman were treated at the scene by the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) and the Coastguard.
They were both taken to hospital. The man's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
A 66-year-old man was arrested but released on bail.
