A fire at a garage that left a man with life-threatening injuries is being treated as an industrial accident, police have said.

Emergency services were call to the site on The Green in Wraysbury, Berkshire, at about 15:35 BST on Saturday 6 September.

Thames Valley Police said a man in his 30s remained in a critical condition in hospital following the incident.

The force, which said its investigation was being supported by the Health and Safety Executive, is appealing for witnesses.

Investigating officer Det Con George Randell said: "Several people from The Perseverance public house opposite went to the man's aid so I would like to speak to any of those outstanding."

Anyone with information, including dashcam, doorbell or CCTV footage, has been urged to contact police.
