A motorcyclist has suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash in Wiltshire.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision, which happened on the A342 near Chirton at 09:41 BST.

The 29-year-old man was airlifted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol after his motorcycle collided with an oncoming vehicle.

The road remains closed in both directions between Wedhampton and Rushall.

Wiltshire Police are asking for anyone with information or who witnessed the incident to get in touch.
