A crash on a Nottinghamshire bridge caused a road to be closed after an oil spill.

The two-vehicle collision happened at about 11:00 GMT on Thursday on the Lady Bay Bridge over the River Trent in West Bridgford.

Nottinghamshire Police said emergency services attended the scene.

Drivers were asked to avoid the area and find alternative routes "to allow a large fuel spillage to be cleared".
