Man, 18, in court over woman's flat fall death

An 18-year-old man has appeared in court charged with manslaughter after a woman died following a fall from a block of flats.

Tia Langdon, 25, was found at Cuckmere Lane, Southampton, with significant injuries on Thursday shortly before 14:45 BST. She died in hospital the following day.

Jaiden Hassan-Agard is also accused of making threats to kill, false imprisonment and threatening with an offensive weapon in a private place in relation to Ms Langdon and another woman who was at the flat.

Mr Hassan-Agard of Stour Close, Southampton, appeared at Southampton Magistrates' Court on Wednesday. He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Southampton Crown Court on 29 September.

Police officers examining the circumstances that led up to Ms Langdon's death said a man and woman had been at the flats with her on Thursday.

The force said Mr Hassan-Agard had also been charged with kidnap relating to the second woman.

Floral tributes have been left at the entrance to the block of flats.
