A family has paid tribute to a "loving and caring" motorcyclist who died near Honeybourne, Worcestershire, in October.
Ryan Horton, 29, died when his motorbike was in a crash with a car on Sheenhill Road at about 19:00 GMT on 31 October, West Mercia Police said.
In a statement, his family said they had lost a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend.
Ryan, or Fred, as he was known to those close to him, had a passion for working in the prison service, they said, and was described as caring.
"He was an active gamer on his PC and XBox. He enjoyed diving deep into Halo and Star Wars, he played all the games and watched all the shows he could, linked to both," they said.
"To try and imagine a life without Ryan in it for us all is near impossible, but we will create a new normal as we know it's what Ryan would want."
More than £5,000 has been raised by friends and colleagues at HMP Long Lartin to help support his family and go towards funeral and memorial arrangements.
"Losing someone so suddenly is never easy, and we hope this fund can ease some of the financial burden so the family can focus on honouring Ryan's memory," the organiser wrote on GoFundMe.
In a post on Facebook, external, an unofficial UK Prison Service page paid tribute to the officer, with hundreds posting messages of shock and sympathy in response.
West Mercia Police is looking for witnesses to the crash, or those who saw either vehicle - a Honda motorbike or a Nissan Leaf car - in the moments before the incident.
