An oyster festival celebrating the "unique and wonderful" industry is returning after taking a one-year break.
Organisers of the Falmouth Oyster Festival said the event, which is on until Sunday, featured a range of activities in Event Square and the Princess Pavilion.
Last year's event was cancelled due to rising costs as organisers said they needed to have a rethink about the set up of the festival.
The 2025 edition's schedule included chef demonstrations, live music, an arts and crafts market and an oyster shucking competition.
Tim Vigus, one of the festival's organisers, said the decision to cancel last year helped the team reconsider how to set up future events.
"We were trying to build it into a sustainable thing for the future, so we decided to drop out for a year and have a reset about the whole event," he said.
"Everyone knows price hikes have happened in most things and it's been making it really difficult to make it a sustainable event."

He said organisers wanted to make the festival a celebration for the oyster fishing industry.
"Oyster fishery is really quite a unique and wonderful thing and we need to recognise that," he said.
The festival is free to enter but some of the events are ticketed.
