Three people were taken to hospital following a head-on crash between a vehicle and a police car.

Emergency services responded to the incident in Pevensey Bay Road, Eastbourne, at 18:40 BST on Thursday.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said the driver of the Suzuki Wagon R and two police officers in the police vehicle were taken to hospital with injuries.

"The driver remains in hospital undergoing medical treatment while the officers have since been discharged," they said.
