Steps stars enjoy musical premiere

It was all glitz and glamour at the Birmingham Alexandra Theatre for the opening night of a new musical based on the songs of Steps, the band.
Here and Now premiered in Birmingham on Tuesday, but the group have now announced the production will visit other UK cities in summer 2025.
The band had been working on the musical for seven years and after watching their show with the audience they said it was a rewarding moment.
"It's a really wonderful feeling to actually sit in the audience and enjoy the music that we've been singing for 27 years," Lisa Scott-Lee said.
"It's a dream come true for all of us and I feel proud, it's like another milestone for Steps in our career.
"We're usually the ones singing our songs on stage - it's a really wonderful feeling to enjoy the music, I'm so proud of everybody."
The band is one of the UK's most successful pop groups of all time.
The musical follows a group of friends working in a seaside supermarket singing and dancing about a summer love that suddenly feels like a tragedy.
Here and Now features the songs, 5,6,7,8, Better Best Forgotten and Last Thing On My Mind.
Faye Tozer joked: "We'll finally know how it feels like to go to a Steps concert.
"[The musical] is bigger and better than any of us could imagine."
Claire Richards said she hoped the musical would be a hit with the audience as well.
