A woman at the centre of a murder investigation after she was found dead in Bromyard was "one of a kind", her family have said.

Emergency services found 61-year-old Ann Green at a property in Apple Tree Close on Saturday.

In a statement issued through West Mercia Police, her family said they were mourning "a wonderful mum, stepmum, wife, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother", adding: "Our mum was one of a kind. Always took in everybody as one of her own."

Julian Thomas, 54, of no fixed abode, has been charged with murder and was due to appear before Worcester Crown Court on Thursday.

The family continued: "She was kind, caring and, as a family, we are all lost without her.

"Losing her has left a great hole in our lives that can never be filled.

"We will now concentrate on grieving as a family and getting her the justice she deserves."
