Man, 73, killed in M9 crash near Grangemouth

A 73-year-old man has died after his car crashed on the M9 near Grangemouth.
The incident, which involved a grey Audi Q3, happened at about 06:30 between junctions five and six on the northbound carriageway of the motorway.
Emergency services attended but the driver, who has not been named, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed northbound while investigations took place and reopened around 09:45.
Insp David Marr said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died at this difficult time.
"Our inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this crash, and I would ask anyone who was in the area at the time to get in touch., external"
