Thieves have used JCB machinery to steal an ATM from a Lancashire supermarket, police have said.

The "ram-raid burglary" of the cash machine happened shortly before 03:00 GMT on Friday at a Co-op in Longridge, Lancashire Police said.

The force said it was investigating the incident on Berry Lane and was appealing for witnesses and footage.

Anyone with information about the theft is urged to contact the force.
