A woman has died in a one-vehicle crash which closed a main road on the Wales-England border for a number of hours.
Emergency services from North Wales and Shropshire were called to the A495 at Bettisfield near Whitchurch shortly after 16:30 on Tuesday, where a blue Toyota Rav4 had been involved in a collision.
The female passenger was found in a critical condition, West Midlands Ambulance Service said, and died at the scene, while the male driver was taken to hospital in Wrexham with minor injuries.
North Wales Police said it was investigating the cause of the crash and asked for people who had been driving in the area at that time to get in touch.
