Thousands of knitted poppies have been draped from the bell tower of a church to commemorate Remembrance Sunday.
The display at Holy Trinity Church in Tresillian, Cornwall, was carefully attached to the building by firefighters earlier this week.
It is the culmination of a year-long effort by sisters Kirsten Lean and Jacqueline Goodway who drew inspiration from a similar cascade of poppies at a church in Holt, Wiltshire.
Mrs Lean said of Remembrance Sunday: "It means a big deal to both of us and it's lovely to honour them."

Mrs Lean said her sister knitted about 10 poppies per day and a host of other volunteers were enlisted to ensure the display was ready in time.
The individual poppies were meticulously cable tied to a net before it was attached to the bell tower on Monday by firefighters using a cherry picker.
Mrs Lean said she was proud of the team effort that went into display.
"It was lovely to see the end result," she said.
A competition to guess the number of poppies in the display has been set up to raise funds for a new bench for the church cemetery.
