The family of a woman killed in Warrington have said her death has left them with a "massive hole" in their family.

Michele Kennedy was found with serious injuries at an address on Manchester Road on 13 October.

The 55-year-old was taken to Aintree Hospital, where she died five days later on 18 October.

In a tribute, Michele's family said she was "a larger-than-life character who would leave a lasting impression on all that met her".

They added: "Michele was a much-loved daughter, mother, sister, auntie and nana.

"The loss of her life has left a massive hole in our family, and we know that her friends and colleagues who were involved in her life will feel the same.

"We would like to offer our extended thanks to all the emergency services that attended the scene and any kind person that tried to help. We will miss her very much."

The family are being supported by specialist police officers and have asked their privacy be respected at this difficult time.
