Attempted murder arrest after stabbing of boy, 15

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a 15-year-old schoolboy was seriously injured in a stabbing in Birmingham.
West Midlands Police said it was called to Alum Rock Road near the junction with College Road in the Alum Rock area of the city just before 20:45 GMT on Friday.
It is believed he was attacked in the area of nearby Morris Park, which remained cordoned off on Sunday as inquiries continued.
The 21-year-old suspect was arrested from a vehicle on Monk Road just before 16:00 on Saturday and is in custody.
The wounded boy remains in hospital, although his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, the force has said.
Additional police patrols have been set up in the area and witnesses or anyone with mobile phone, CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage relating to the incident has been urged to come forward.
