Thief steals car left to defrost by its driver

Police are searching for a thief who stole a car when it was left unattended to defrost.

The engine was running and the victim was inside when it was taken from outside their home in Charlton Road, Norwich, on Wednesday, Norfolk Police said.

The force said it was continuing to investigate the theft, which took place at about 06:30 GMT.

"It may be icy out there but please do not leave your vehicle unattended," a spokeswoman added.
