The search is on for Gillingham residents who want to join a panel to create a new vision of the town centre.

Medway Council is looking for 40 people to help decide what the town centre should looks like and how it should serves people's needs.

They will work with Design Southeast to talk about aspects they value and what they would like to see change.

The panel will meet over the coming months to help develop the draft Gillingham Town Centre Action Plan.

Medway Council says the panel comes off the back of the Love Gillingham initiative event earlier this month, the Big Day Out in Gillingham High Street.

Applications to join the panel are open until September 22 and can be made through the council’s website.
