Boy, 11, needed hospital treatment after school assault

An 11-year-boy has been taken to hospital after being assaulted at a school in Angus.

Officers were called to the school, which cannot be named to protect the child's identity, at about 14:55 on Tuesday.

A 17-year-old boy and a 34-year-old woman have been charged in connection with the incident and will appear at Forfar Sheriff Court later.

A 12-year-old girl has been also been reported to the relevant authorities.

Police said the boy was taken to hospital for treatment following the incident.
