Car crash into bank leaves two in hospital

Two people have been taken to hospital after a car hit a woman and crashed into a bank.
It happened at Lloyds Bank on Erdington High Street, Birmingham, shortly before 12:45 BST on Friday.
The driver, a woman in her 70s, is believed to have had a medical episode before the crash, while the other woman, in her 80s, suffered potentially serious injuries, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.
A spokesperson confirmed both of them were taken to hospital for further treatment.
Lloyds Banking Group said the firm was "thinking of those affected" and was supporting its employees.
A spokesperson confirmed the branch was closed and said customers could use the nearby Halifax branch, the Post Office or online banking services.
West Midlands Police has urged anyone who might have information about the incident to get in touch.
